Who are we?
We are part of a national network of 65 PIRCs across the United States and its territories. The PIRC system is a part of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) mandated by Congress to work with local education agencies to provide information and resources to increase parental involvement to improve student achievement.
What do we do?
We help parents become more involved in their children's education and schools so their children become more successful in school. We provide training, information, and resources to parents, teachers, and administrators to increase parental involvement in their children's education to increase student achievement.
Our two main purposes...
  • To help implement effective parental involvement policies, programs, and activities that lead to imporovements in student academic achievement.
  • To strengthen partnerships among parents, teachers, principals, administrators, and other school personnel in meeting the educational needs of children.
